The MR&DM is a 36-unit fully online graduate program designed to develop knowledge and skills in effective leadership of government and private R&D organizations and research funding institutions. It aims to produce graduates who are able to demonstrate enhanced managerial leadership with an R&D-oriented perspective in organizing, directing, monitoring and evaluating R&D organization; influence the transformation of R&D system as a productive, dynamic, cost-effective, environmentally adaptive, socially relevant, ethical and development-oriented organization; and lead in implementing strategic R&D management innovations in technology generation, commercialization, and societal development. It will be offered in thesis and non-thesis tracks.
The MR&DM program will be offered as a ladderized program. This will allow DR&DM students to transfer to the MR&DM program upon completion of the core courses of 21 units with a GWA of 2.0 or better. MR&DM students may also apply for transfer to the DR&DM program.
The curriculum and course material development of the MR&DM program has been funded by the Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) through the MR&DM Project of the Faculty of Management and Development Studies of UP Open University.
